The ARP is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Calving Inalsingh, Medical Director of the World Boxing Association, ARP emeritus board member, and the first sports medicine practitioner in his home country of Trinidad and Tobago.

Inalsingh served as the medical practitioner for the Trinidad & Tobago Olympic teams and National Football team and as the two-time president of the Commonwealth Boxing Council.

In 2019, the ARP recognized Inalsingh for his contributions to the field of ringside medicine and inducted him to the Emeritus Board of the Association. “Dr. Calvin Inalsingh dedicated his life and practice to protecting and caring for athletes. His contributions to the field of combat sports medicine have laid the foundation for the work we do today,” said ARP president Dr. John Neidecker.
